  1. Ryan (verified owner)

It’s a great bike. It handles well, the power comes on really well and smoothly. The handling is nice, it feels really natural, like a normal sort of bike. Good tyres as well, it’s confidence-inspiring, it’s not too wide that you’re going to feel like you’re trying to pedal through mush, but not skinny road bike tyres either. It provides that softness and suspension that you get from a slightly bigger more volume tyre. It’s cool, great bike, good weight as well.

  2. Ruth (verified owner)

Good, I liked the range of gears coming up the hill and it changed pretty smoothly, but also having the motor, they complement each other well. I like the straight handlebars, because I just feel like I’m in control. And size-wise it’s really good for me. A really nice riding position for me, I can go downhill well, can go uphill really well which is what I want. Fun bike! If I wanted a bike for commuting with a rear hub, I’d give it 5 out of 5, especially for the price point.

  3. Vanessa (verified owner)

Very cool, I feel like I want more hills with this bike! It feels more sporty but when you go up the hill, it’s just perfect. Very good feeling, you can feel the power, you feel invincible. It’s really, really nice.

  4. Joe (verified owner)

Overall in terms of the balance it was quite good and the speed coming up the hill was very, very good. If I didn’t have my ebike at the moment, that would be one I’d be looking at, at that price point I think it’s quite good.

  5. Emily (verified owner)

It’s great! I love that it adjusts, and it’s noticeable how much it adjusts, going uphill, which is great. It is lighter than I’d expect, which is actually really nice.

  6. Scott (verified owner)

Feels pretty good. Going up the hill is really nice, to be able to keep the speed – I did go up to 4 on the assist and could really feel a big difference. The bike feels really sturdy which is nice. It doesn’t feel like you’re wobbling about when you’re picking up speed, it’s solid.

  7. Lisa (verified owner)

That was a cool ride, it was really fast. And it feels really light, you can just feel in the bike it’s not got a lot of big heavy weight in it, so it feels pretty zoomy actually!

  8. Kath

Loved the ride, only out for a short loop, but felt very confident on this lovely bike. Easy to use power assist & gears. Love the sleek smart look. Thank you for the chance to try out!

  9. Aravinda

Very smooth ride. Has a lot of power when going up hills. Enjoyable ride.

  10. Neil

The bike is phenomenal! Very light and powerful. I truly enjoyed the ride. I highly recommend the bike to anyone looking for a daily commute bike!

  11. Tan

As a first time e-bike rider, this bike is one that I could see myself using as part of our daily lives and on weekends. User friendly. No more waiting for mum to keep up!

  12. Kieren

Loved riding the bike. Super smooth up hills, no sweating when I reached the top. Easy on the legs. Very user friendly. Love it.

  13. Alpesh

I recently upgraded to a Zoomin Z1 eBike, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the performance! The bike is incredibly light, making it so easy to handle, even on longer rides. It’s also way faster than my old bike, giving me a smooth and thrilling ride every time. The speed and battery life are excellent, and it’s perfect for both commuting and weekend adventures. Highly recommend Zoomin Z1 eBike for anyone looking for a fast, lightweight, and reliable electric bike!

  14. Sarah (verified owner)

Loving my bike! It’s quick to react when at stop signs and want to take off. It’s a smooth ride and super easy to lock up and charge. So far I’ve hit 35km easy. Great on hills.

    Zoomin – what an experience!!

Firstly the team, they really know how to impress, from my first contact at a Home Show to my online research and then after my decision to order an e Bike – Zoomin have been simply outstanding!
Great communication, prompt dispatch and even followed up the freight provider on my behalf – awesome service all round – thanks Niki!!
The Z1 eBike what a machine – this is my first electric bike and I just love it, easy to ride, hills a breeze and while it can be fast you have the control to work as hard as you wish!!
Overall this has to be my best purchase of the year so if you are looking for a great priced, well specked bike look no further than Zoomin – they won’t disappoint!

  16. Nicola

I’m loving my Zoomin Z1 ebike! I’m no longer afraid of hills, longer rides or turning up looking like a sweaty mess. It’s given me the confidence to get out riding a lot more, and I love that I can choose how much pedal assistance I want/need. So I’m still getting exercise, just getting a helping hand when the hills get a bit much. The bike is really lightweight, intuitive and easy to use. So happy with this purchase!

  17. Leon Mooney

I took one on a long ride and coming from a mid-drive, this was super smooth. Build quality honestly better than my Kona gravel bike and my wife’s Liv E-bike commuter.

  18. Robert

I was looking for a new ebike that was light but still had power and was robust. I recently had the good fortune to come across the Zoomin Ebikes website and their brand new model the Z1. I have owned a few ebikes in the past five years and most have been quiet heavy around 25 to 27kgs, the Z1 is amazing at only 19kgs including the battery!! I was so impressed with the specs, presentation and reviews that I ordered one. The bike was delivered quickly and very well packed. It took me just 35 mins to assemble the parts that’s needed to complete the bike. It’s a smart minimalist design and very well thought out, with everything you need to ride safe supplied including a mirror! it’s also good to know that it’s part of the Melo Yelo company that I have known for a long time and have a great reputation. Once the battery was fully charged (about 2 hours) I took it for a nice ride, and found the reviews and the advertising were all true, it was as responsive and powerful as my much heavier bike but so easy to handle, soon I was zipping up to 45kph in no time. Can’t wait for the good weather days just to get out and enjoy the Zooming ebike! If you’re thinking of buying a great value for money light weight, well made ebike, you must take a test ride of this bike or just buy it as I did you will not regret it.

  19. Natalie

I looked at a lot of ebikes, to replace my minimalist commuter style bike, and Zoomin was a great find. It’s light, looks good, and all the elements are simple and tidy. Putting it together was easy enough. Would recommend.

  20. Chloe

I love my Zoomin eBike – have been really impressed! For me this has been an ideal bike for cycle commuting – it has everything you need and nothing you don’t. I also really appreciate how much lighter it is than other eBikes I have tried in the past, and looks great too 🙂

  21. Ken

I have been enjoying the Zoomin Z1 on loan for the last 200kms, the lightweight frame with rigid front forks gives it has a satisfying precise and deft handling, the Mivice torque sensor has excellent feel, and even on the lower pas levels 2 and 3 one can maintain an effortless high speed without too much pedalling effort, the reward is a thrilling ride.
At first I did miss not having a throttle (just like most european ebikes), up and down the hills, plenty of gear changing is required to maintain the optimum peddle speed, but the 10 speed Shimano Deore has a loverly slick click action, a pleasure to use, using the thumb and forefinger to easily flick through the gears up or down.
The first day, yes well you will have the nagging desire to find out what will she do, so punch it up to pas 5, find a good clear piece of level blacktop, stomp hardon the pedals, sequentially snick into 10th gear, WOW 42km/h! I’m piloting a precision guided missile and have just blown all the cobwebs outta my helmet.

Aesthetically the machine is sleek and beautifully designed, a pleasure to savour, a great deal of engineering effort has been spent to achieve such simple and clean lines, all the control cabling is internal into the top tube, even the front brake line is run inside the front forks, then there is a beautiful Velofox oled colour slimline display, under the display is the plus and minus PAS controls, it is actually a rocker switch, so only a light touch is required to change up or down, its delightful, much much superior to the usual types that have separate up and down press buttons that requires a hefty push. The bright led headlight is mounted high up handlebar bracket, apart from the tidy good looks, it also means one could mount a front rack and wouldn’t have to relocate the light, the slim led vertical tail light is integrated into the rear guard, notice that the wiring is on the inside of the guard and cannot be seen.
The nearly straight handlebars at 680mm wide is suitable for use up to grade 3 trails, really complements the overall style of this bike to a T and I found them to give great control and be really comfortable even on longer rides, and an added bonus is the included bar end rear view mirror, its flat glass and a good sized 70mm in diameter.

Only the bottom tube shows the ripples that is inherent with aluminium welding, all the other welding joints are grounded smooth and once painted the frame and forks has the
appearance of being cast in one piece, this has to be an extra cost in manufacturing, that is a premium feature for a mid priced bike. Attention to detail in design and craftsmanship
in manufacturing, that’s really appreciated, and really is a jewel to behold.

The slimline integrated battery is only 10Ah but is very efficient, I wanted to test the maximum range, so over 2 days, limiting myself to mostly pas1, I managed just over 80kms,
slightly less than the claimed max 90kms, but then I do have to deal with the unavoidable hills in my area. Note that the power assistance level really drops off significantly at the end
( with the gauge still showing a few percent charge).
Another advantage of the slimline battery tube is that the bike could easily pass off to be just a regular pushbike (possibly less of a theft magnet, as its not screaming I’m an ebike).
This bike is finished in seashell matt colour, I love that the large Zoomin branding on the bottom tube is actually very subtle and leads to giving it a rather unassuming but classy look.

The Mivice MO80 hubmotor is very quiet, no whining noise at low speed or high speed, excellent engineering. Powerwise: my home has a long 1 in 10 gradient hill that must be
climbed first on every outing, no problems, also tested on the steeper Hendry Ave bike lane between Queenstown Rd and Hillsborough Rd, it passes, but with plenty of strong
    leg pedalling required of course.

Its an engineering marvel that they have managed to build such an awesome machine with such light weight, I am guessing that its partly due the smaller battery and that the frame having a mid-step bar (step over height is 560mm), a mid-step bar provides added rigidity compared to a step thru, means they can use lighter gauge aluminium tubing without gusseting plates.
I am a senior at 163cm height with short legs, comfortable riding with the seat at its lowest setting, I have found that its best to step over with the bike tilted over to one side before mounting/dismounting.

Overall, I have loved my time with the Zoomin, its so enjoyable that I can’t wait for the rain to stop before planning my next ride. If you can find something that is more fun and enjoyable, most likely it will sport legs rather than wheels. It ticks all the boxes, and is close to perfection. Highly recommended, go ahead and buy one, Go Zoomin!
